Wickes, is launching a partnership with solar panel and battery storage installation platform, ‘MakeMyHouseGreen.com’ and adds Electric Vehicle chargers to offering for the first time.
As part of the retailer’s Responsible Business strategy – Built to Last – Wickes is committed to helping the nation save energy and costs as customers seek to make their homes more energy efficient.
As part of a referral partnership, customers visiting wickes.co.uk can click through directly to MakeMyHouseGreen.com where they will be offered a complete service; from help choosing the right solar panel system using data and analytics, to final installation, with MakeMyHouseGreen’s network of trusted installers. Once installed, customers are then able to track their solar system output and savings.
In early June, Wickes is launching its first EV charging product, which is the Hypervolt range designed and manufactured in the UK. This EV charger is controlled by a smartphone app and you can charge the car directly from the sun. It is also easier to set up compared to other chargers as it does not require an Earth rod to be installed.
Earlier this year Wickes was the first UK home improvement retailer to launch an online interactive house where customers can explore the virtual home and find out how to manage and reduce energy usage, with click-through options to purchase energy saving products such as insulation, draught proofing and efficient lighting.
Customers can also visit Wickes’ Energy Saving Advice page, which includes helpful advice from the Energy Saving Trust on projects to save energy and money on bills.
