The Retail Appointment's live careers event will be taking place on the 22nd and 23rd September at the Royal National Hotel in London, near Russell Square. On offer will be an impressive array of the UK's best known retail and hospitality names from a wide range of sectors, all recruiting for shop floor, management and head office staff. Here, we take a look at how you can get the best out of the event and leave with a fresh outlook on your career or even a brand new job with one of the high street's biggest brands.
At our London event, all of the exhibitors are at the event on both days, meaning you can visit the event at a time that suits you, with a choice of two days.
Exhibitors at the next event include Imperial Hotels, Shurgard, Eatlaly, Whole Foods, Harrods, VF Corporation, Puttshack, Daylesford Organic, Hugo Boss, Everyman, Watches of Switzerland, Starbucks, Aesop, John Lewis, Megans, EssilorLuxottica and World Duty Free — although more companies are signing up all the time.
Our exhibitors will be looking for people who are pursuing new management, head office, hospitality and sales-based challenges. Whether you have been working in retail or hospitality for ten months or ten years, we would love to meet you. And, with exhibitors covering all sectors of retail and hospitality, we’re sure to have a job that appeals to you.
A comprehensive seminar programme will be running for people who want to improve their skill sets, both in the workplace and in the job seeking process.
To make the most of your time, why not familiarise yourself with our seminar timetable, then book your place in advance so you don’t miss out.
In addition, one of the top attractions for candidates is the Career Consultation area, a free service provided by consultancy RHR that aims to talk potential candidates through their CVs, offer careers advice and answer any other career related questions you may have.
Register for your free Career Consultation here as spaces are limited.
After registering for one of our events, you will be emailed a fast-track entry ticket which you need to print off and bring with you on the day. Alternatively, just make a note of your unique reference number on the email and bring that along with you.
It is also a good idea to bring multiple copies of your CV to give to employers as well as a pen and notepad to take down any additional information regarding the next step in their recruitment process.
If you are hoping to really impress a potential employer on the day, why not do a little research beforehand, too? Look up their website to find out some background information on the company and their vacancies on offer.
