Waitrose will no longer sell single use vape products. The supermarket had previously decided not to enter the burgeoning market of single use vaping devices, but has now delisted imitation cigarettes containing lithium, which it sold under the Ten Motives label.
In addition to having worries about the environmental impact of the products, Waitrose said it is concerned about the risk they pose by appealing to younger people. It also highlighted reports suggesting that market growth is being fuelled by the popularity of the products with people who have previously not smoked.
