Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the planned opening of UNIQLO Covent Garden, London, in spring 2023. The UNIQLO store will have a sales floor of approximately 1450 sq meters across 3 floors and is located in the heart of historic Covent Garden with entrances on Long Acre and Floral Street.
Recognised for LifeWear; innovative, high-quality clothing from UNIQLO that is universally appealing in design and comfort, the new Covent Garden store will feature LifeWear for all genders, kids and baby.
“It’s an honour to be opening in an area of London with such cultural and retail heritage and continuing to expand our U.K. presence in important retail locations. With such a strong footfall from both Londoners and tourists, we look forward to offering LifeWear to new and existing UNIQLO customers.” said Alessandro Dudech, COO of UNIQLO U.K.
Michelle McGrath, Executive Director, Capital & Counties Properties PLC, said “UNIQLO is universally loved for their high-quality product design and innovation and we are delighted to welcome them to Covent Garden with a new flagship anchor store spanning Long Acre and Floral Street. This important opening will further strengthen Covent Garden’s appeal as a differentiated shopping and dining destination, joining the likes of Ganni, Peloton, Petersham Nurseries, Paul Smith and Reformation.”
The new store opening in 2023 follows the Battersea Power Station Store that opened on 14th October 2022 and will take the total number of UNIQLO stores in the U.K. to 17 once opened.
Customers and fans are invited to share their excitement about the new store via the company’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter , Instagram and TikTok using #UniqloCoventGarden. Details regarding the new store, including promotional launch campaigns, will be announced at a later date.
