Uber Eats has launched a new quick commerce offering through the trialling of Uber Eats Market with the Iceland supermarket chain.

The company said the move will enable Iceland customers to receive their grocery delivery in as little as 20 minutes.

The new offering will combine Uber’s technology and logistical expertise with Iceland’s in-store infrastructure, which includes dedicated staff to pick and pack orders.

Uber Eats Market will offer over 1000 branded and non-branded items from Iceland, including daily essentials such as food cupboard items, fresh and frozen meat and poultry, and basic toiletries.

The first Iceland stores to offer Uber Eats Market are in densely populated areas such as South Bank, Poplar and Walworth Road in London.
