Shein has opened a new office in Dublin which will act as its headquarters for its Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The official opening ceremony was attended by Ireland’s Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney, who met with Shein’s global head of government relations, Leonard Lin, and other company leaders to discuss the company’s strategy in Ireland.
Discussions covered the growth of Shein’s workforce in Dublin where it will be looking to fill roles across data analytics, security engineering, finance management, legal and its graduate programme. The company will be recruiting for 30 key positions in the Ireland office by the end 2023, with more appointments to follow as the company grows.
In 2023, Shein plans to host around 30 pop-ups around the EMEA region and currently has a temporary store operating in Ireland from 12 to 17 May in Cork. Last year, Shein’s pop-up at the Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin attracted over 4,000 visitors per day. The company has also been busy opening new distribution centres around the region, including a 40,000 square metre facility in Wroclaw in Poland, as well as centres in Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
