Mulberry non-executive chairman Godfrey Davis will be stepping down from the luxury brand’s board next month.
Due to relinquish his role on 30 September, he will be succeeded as chairman by Mulberry non-executive director Chris Roberts.
Davis joined the brand in 1987 as finance director and subsequently became chief executive then chairman. In a statement, Mulberry said he will remain associated with the business as life president in a non-board role so it can continue to benefit from his experience.
Roberts was appointed to the Mulberry board in 2002 and is currently managing director of Como Holdings, a company owned by Ong Beng Seng and Christina Ong, who also own Chalice Limited, a 56.2% shareholder in Mulberry.
Mulberry said it intends to appoint an additional independent non-executive director and name a senior independent director in the near future.
