Supermarket chain Morrisons has revamped its Morrisons More loyalty card, which now offers rewards on fuel and extra points for café customers.

The new card will be distributed to current cardholders and will give the customer five points per pound when they spend in store. When they reach 5,000 points the customer will receive a £5 voucher which will be branded as the Morrisons Fiver.

Customers can also earn points by shopping in the café, where for every £1 spent they can earn five points. They can also earn 10 points per litre of fuel and five points in the garden centres, pharmacies and flower shops, plus extra points on promotions in store and online.

Andy Atkinson, Morrisons’ marketing and customer director, said: “We have listened to what our customers tell us they want from a Morrisons loyalty scheme. They enjoy earning points every time they shop with us and being rewarded with £5 vouchers – their Morrisons Fivers. But they also said that they want to earn points across our stores, including in our customer cafes.''

Customers who already have a card will have their existing points automatically transferred to the new card.
