More than 200 jobs at a warehouse distribution centre for supermarket chain Iceland in North Wales are under threat.

The hub, located in Deeside and close to Iceland’s HQ, is run for the retailer by logistics giant GXO.

The company have informed 240 staff that their jobs are at risk after investments by Iceland to increase capacity of its Swindon sites and Livingston retail distribution centres (RDC), and to create a new RDC in Warrington.

The site will stop being used for Iceland goods and become a “third-party storage facility” according to GXO.
