The Just Eat food delivery app has agreed a new partnership with Sainsbury’s to mark its second tie-up with one of the UK’s ‘Big Four’ grocers.
Launching with more than 175 stores by the end of February in places like London, Edinburgh and Bristol, the partnership will be rolled out to further cities throughout 2023.
From January, customers will be able to purchase Sainsbury’s items ranging from fresh milk and vegetables to household essentials through the Just Eat platform, with deliveries made within 30 minutes.
With over 2,000 grocery sites already on the platform, Just Eat said the new partnership marks a significant step in its plan to expand its grocery offering.
Just Eat Takeaway.com already supports over 30,000 grocery and convenience stores on its platforms globally, and has partnerships with brands such as Asda, GETIR, Ahold, Carrefour, Booker, Spar, Shell, 7-Eleven, Marqt, PLUS, Pascual Group, Galp, Kibus, Taste of America, Delicatessen Argentina and The Beer Store.
