Lifestyle clothing brand Joules has named Jonathon Brown as its new chief executive.

Initially joining the business as chief executive designate early next month, he will officially take on the role on 30 September when he will succeed Nick Jones following a short handover period.

In a statement, Joules said Brown has a strong track record of improving performance and implementing strategic transformation programmes.

Having begun his career in various marketing and digital roles at Schroders, British Airways and Coca-Cola, Brown’s CV also includes stints as director of multichannel at Kingfisher and omnichannel director at John Lewis. He was then appointed as chief executive of MandM Direct, where he executed a successful turnaround plan, and chief operating officer  of Moonpig owner Photobox Group. More recently, he was chief executive of Compare the Market.
