Central England Co-operative has rebranded and changed its name to Central Co-op following research with customers and members.

The society said the move reflects its ongoing development and expansion as sales approach £1 billion for the first time. The rebrand has also included using the International Co-operative Alliance’s global marque.

The rebrand across Central Co-op’s store estate will be rolled out as part of an ongoing regeneration plan for over 400 food stores and funeral homes.

Due to open this month, Central Co-op’s new shops in Eastham and Sawbridgeworth will be the first food stores to apply the new look branding.
