Card Factory is reportedly considering a bid for rival cards, gifts and stationery firm Paperchase.
If the potential deal goes ahead, it will add 130 stores to Card Factory’s UK portfolio.
Paperchase was put up for sale by its private equity owners Primary Capital for £150 million in October.
