As Partnerships Sales Lead you will support the strategic delivery of our Brand Partnerships programme, specifically seeking and developing new opportunities to drive revenue. You will be joining Selfridges at an exciting time for the development of our Partnerships programme and will be instrumental in honing our position as a media platform for physical, digital and experiential campaigns. You will seek to develop rewarding relationships with potential partners who align with Selfridges brand, and identify opportunities that amplify our own core brand messaging, through engaging campaigns across our stores and digital platforms. You’ll be expert on the Brand Partnerships P&L, consistently adding to the revenue pipeline and closing deals that help to achieve our annual target.

As Partnerships Sales Lead you will:

Work with the Head of Brand Partnerships to develop and execute a clear partnership sales strategy, building a picture of Selfridges as a dynamic media platform able to deliver cohesive 360 campaigns

Identify, target and outreach to potential partners that align with Selfridges brand values and customer objectives, from inside and outside our brand mix and build long-term relationships with key decision makers, which unlock significant investment in Selfridges as a trusted media partner

Lead communication with partners as appropriate, negotiating and structuring partnership agreements whilst staying closely aligned to relationships owned by the marketing managers, and wider commercial relationships owned by the Buying team

Plan and align potential partner 360 activity to the Selfridges Master Calendar and integrated marketing plan, to ensure a cohesive customer message that elevates the Selfridges brand, and ensure smooth execution of the activity.

Work with internal stakeholders to develop engaging cross channel partnership campaigns across the full marketing channel mix, and develop the tools you need to sell and promote the Selfridges offer

Plan and execute key partnership campaigns targeting new customer acquisition, increased frequency of visit and purchase, setting and communicating clear budgets, objectives, targets and measures of success

Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to be able to identify opportunities to diversify the Selfridges offer.

Work with your team to provide regular forecasting and reforecasting as needed, including a clear picture of lead generation, pipeline, closed deals and path to target

Monitor partnership results, analyse and provide insights for ongoing strategy development

Work with your team to manage deals, contracting and invoicing. Prepare updates for senior leadership on status, challenges and opportunities.

Work with relevant teams to ensure content reinforces the Selfridges brand messaging, to build brand equity, drawing on our core values and positioning Selfridges as a creative playground, place for friends and extraordinary experience with a vision to reinvent retail

How you’ll do it… you will be:

Be skilled in sales and business development, with experience working with brands within the premium/luxury sector and in securing and nurturing partnerships in a fast-paced environment

Able to demonstrate proven sales experience with an existing strong network of brand partners

Experienced in preparing pitch documents and presenting to senior prospects and clients

Experienced in contract negotiation, structuring partnerships with clear ROI, and closing deals

Experienced in delivering 360 campaigns, with an understanding of the media landscape and the role Selfridges can play in this landscape both now and in the future

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, whilst being data-driven and able to analyse results effectively

Quickly understand the Selfridges brand to be able to prioritise its equity through all partnerships and intuitively understand the right brand mix for potential opportunities

Have a creative flair to be able to put together engaging campaign activations with proven results

Have a collaborative mindset, and experienced in working across broad cross-functional stakeholder groups to turn strategy into actionable plans

Expert in the full marketing mix with strong in execution and delivery orientation - able to plan, manage and adapt multiple projects at the same time.

Experienced in measuring delivery of marketing plans against customer KPIs.

Excellent in numeracy and analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information into concise recommendations and action for the company.

Collaborative, open and transparent – able to navigate the organisation and to be comfortable with ambiguity.

Experienced in managing a high performing team
