A leading premium food retailer is seeking a lead trade planner to join its well-established London-based team. This retailer is known for delivering exceptional quality products to its customers. A newly created position within the commercial division, this is an exciting opportunity to influence the business's growth. You will be tasked with generating actionable, data-led insights that drive sales and improve operational efficiency. Working alongside the Heads of Buying and Commercial, you will deliver strategic recommendations, leveraging best-in-class analytical methods to enhance promotional effectiveness. Key responsibilities include offering advice on space and range planning, space optimisation, and supporting marketing and departmental initiatives through thoughtful analysis.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from a consumer-focused environment, ideally within food/supermarkets, with a strong background in pricing strategies, product assortment, and space planning. You will be highly skilled in demonstrating a commercially sharp, data-oriented mindset. A natural curiosity to identify opportunities for business improvement and to make evidence-based recommendations will be key to excelling in this role.
In return, the company offers a competitive base salary of up to £70,000, plus an annual bonus potential of £7,000. You will also receive yearly share awards worth approximately £3,500. The role is based in a stunning central London location.
