Our client is a successful clothing importer, supplying the UK, mainland Europe and international high street retailers with quality casualwear.
They are now seeking to recruit a Merchandiser to be office based at their HQ, close to Manchester.
The main purpose is to ensure timely delivery of product to their key customer accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Account Managers on various customer accounts, whilst also being part of the Merchandise team managing orders across the vast stock range.
• Raise orders on our in-house PLMS system.
• Manage the critical path for orders.
• Liaise with the Account Managers, Design and Garment Technologist teams to ensure the smooth running of the critical path.
• Where relevant, order and / or send out labelling and packaging to suppliers.
• Manage press and photography sample requirements for customer orders.
• Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence resolving customer and supplier queries.
• Generate progress reports.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in a similar apparel, import, merchandising role
• Solid I.T skills including excel.
• Strong communication skills, in particular dealing with Far East suppliers.
• Exceptionally well organised with good attention to detail.
