Health and Safety Manager

You will be responsible for:
Developing and Implementing Safety Policies: Build comprehensive health and safety policies and ensure effective implementation across the organization.
Alignment: Guarantee the organization aligns with all pertinent laws and regulations.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
Training and Education: Provide training and mentorship to employees on safe practices and emergency procedures.
Monitoring and Reporting: Keep track of health and safety performance and report on it to senior management.
Promoting a Safety Culture: Foster a culture of safety within the organization to boost overall well-being and efficiency.
Managing a Team: Lead and develop a team of health and safety professionals, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
Collaborating closely with Public Bodies: Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), to ensure compliance and address any issues that arise.
You will need:
Degree in health and safety or equivalent experience.
Postgraduate qualification in Fire safety engineering.
Member level accreditation of an appropriate professional body.
CIF/IOSH PSDP qualification.
Management experience in the construction and/or retail environment.
Proven experience in policy development and implementation.
Strong communication skills.
Strong digital literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
