West Yorkshire is home to a diverse range of attractions. Centered in White Cross just outside Leeds, the original Harry Ramsden fish and chip shop still stands, now a national icon. As well as finding the World's largest fish and chips shop in West Yorkshire, one can find the Halifax Gibbet, an early guillotine-like device which was being used by the British long before the French developed the guillotine. Today a replica of the original device still stands on its original site in Halifax.
