The Armani Group has announced that it will no longer use angora wool in its collections from autumn/winter 22 onwards.
Angora wool – the extremely soft wool removed from live rabbits – has been added to Armani Group’s list of excluded materials under its fur-free policy.
Giorgio Armani CEO, Giorgio Armani, said: “I am pleased to announce the abolition of angora wool from all the collections of the Armani Group, testimony to our tangible commitment in monitoring our production with respect to protecting the natural world. I have always believed in innovation and research of new materials and innovative methods for processing traditional raw materials.”
Other brands which exclude the hand-plucked fur from their collections include Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Burberry, Valentino, and Stella McCartney.
