Forever 21 has named Winnie Park as its new chief executive with the appointment effective immediately.
Park has joined the fashion retailer from Paper Source, where she has served as chief executive for the past six years. During that time, she was credited with transforming the company from a bricks-and-mortar retailer to a lifestyle brand with a digital platform spanning social, digital content, online subscriptions, and affiliate partnerships. She also led the successful sale of the brand to an affiliate of Barnes & Noble.
In her new role, she will report directly to Marc Miller, chief executive of SPARC.
Prior to Paper Source, Park held executive roles in ecommerce, global marketing, and fashion merchandising. This included a nine-year stint at Hong Kong-based international luxury retail leader, DFS, a division of LVMH. At DFS, she was responsible for launching the company’s first global ecommerce site for fashion, beauty, watches, jewellery and spirits for customers across China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the US.
