Asda has  published its Gender Pay report for 2021 which shows that its mean and median figures continue to be well below the national average.

Data from supermarket shows that the median pay difference between all male and female Asda staff members is 6.1% and the mean pay difference is 8%. This compares to 5.5% and 8.4% respectively in 2020.

Meanwhile, it has a 0% median pay gap for hourly paid retail store colleagues who make up 85% of Asda’s total  workforce.

According to ONS research, the UK’s national average median pay gap is 15.4% and the mean pay gap is 14.6%.
